Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine - "Seriously? Drinkable Champagne for thirty bucks a bottle? Yep. No joke. It’s yet another example of the ridiculous value offered in Aldi’s imported range (I’d also suggest trying the store’s $10 Baron Amarillo Rioja Reserva and $10 Chateau Les Maurins red Bordeaux if you haven’t already). I’m not so impressed by the other two Champagnes in the Monsigny range, a brut and a premier cru, but I really like the rosé: some elegance and finesse and very attractive soft red fruit. Well worth considering for a party" - Max Allen, May 2014.
